![]() I have applied this logic to anything that I have invested time into. My parents taught me the valuable lesson of developing a long term plan for a project and taking the necessary steps to insure its success. I hope to produce dogs that are healthy and have pedigrees brimming with dogs of high quality and complementing characteristics. Much to the despair of many dog breeds careless breeding and ignorance has polluted many English Cream dachshund pedigrees. With my experience in genetics and my love for English Cream Dachshunds I decided to breed and promote this often confused breed. English Cream Dachshunds are truly a special breed not only in looks but certainly in temperament and personality. English Cream Dachshunds are great with children especially when raised from a puppy around them. We actively used them on the farm and I spend a lot of time training and working with them. I have traveled extensively to photograph and observe plants in their native habitats as well as in collections and museums.ĭogs have always been a part of my life. I also got to experience growing thousands of rare and exotic plants from around the world having worked in the MSU Botany collection, and through my personal gardening experiences. My pursuit in a horticulture degree at Michigan State University allowed me to expand on much of what I already knew growing and working on the farm. My mother was an avid gardener and cook, I learned a lot from her. This is were my passion for all things living and beautiful developed. During my time on the farm I learned to take care of many types of livestock, poultry and other fantastic and unusual exotics. As a child I grew up on a large farm in south eastern Michigan. This site was published to share years of experience and information that I have obtained in the fields of horticulture, birds, dogs, and insects. We are a small breeder of true English Cream dachshunds. One thing they do all have in common is that they love their daily walks, and have at least one hour of exercise each day whether that’s running around and playing in our fields, exploring the beaches, common, walking around the lanes, or woodland.Welcome to Limberlost Exotics also known as Greiner’s Golden Doxies nestled in Mulliken Michigan. We are hopeful we will have our first Labrador litter in the spring of 2022.Īll of our dogs have extremely kind, loving natures, each having their own unique personality, meaning they all have different food, sleeping, and walking preferences. Our labradors are KC registered with great hip & elbow scores, genetically clear of exercise-induced collapse (EIC), Hereditary nasal parakeratosis (HNPK), Dwarfism / Skeletal dysplasia (osteochondrodysplasia), Centronuclear myopathy (CNM), Progressive retinal atrophy (PRA) & Retinal dysplasia (RD) / Oculo-skeletal dysplasia (OSD). They have been a fantastic addition to our family and are very gentle and loving with all of our dachshunds. In 2020 we introduced our two gorgeous Labradors, Indi our silver labrador, & Storm our charcoal Labrador. We are often asked how well dachshunds get on with other breeds. We have three of his gorgeous girls (Lyla, Mali & Tippy) meaning we are now on the lookout for a second stud dog. He’s a fantastic stud dog and has sired many puppies, even some as far away as Australia. He’s KC registered & PRA clear, with a coat colour of e/e and i/i, meaning he is a true cream miniature dachshund. Buzz is our gorgeous stud, weighing 4.7KG. We do not IVDD test, however, as far as we’re aware there have been no cases in any of the lines we breed from. All our girls are KC registered and PRA clear. All of our dachshunds are true miniature dachshunds with our adults weighing 3.2KG – 4.8KG. We predominantly breed long hair cream & shaded cream miniature dachshunds, however, we do occasionally have other colours available. We usually have around five litters a year, however, this can vary from year to year. Having always had dogs in the family growing up, it was in 2012 that we introduced our first dog into our own home and our family has grown since then. Having grown up in an agricultural environment and having always been around animals, Lucy learned how to care for and raise animals from a very young age. ![]() As a family, we love to get out into the countryside and explore the Welsh heritage coast with our dogs and often spend hours at the beach playing as a family.Īll of our dogs live in the home with us where they are never short of a lap to sit on or someone to play fetch with. ![]() We have a busy, loving home, with three young boys, seven long hair miniature dachshunds, and our two lovely Labradors.
